Three napped hiding drugs inside bread for prisoners
The Kaduna police command has apprehended three individuals for allegedly attempting to smuggle hard drugs to a suspect in custody.
The suspects were found with an unspecified quantity of drugs concealed inside a loaf of bread.
Mansir Hassan, spokesperson for the command, announced the arrests on Sunday, stating that the suspects were detained at the charge room of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Kaduna.

“The State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Kaduna has arrested three suspects for attempting to supply hard drugs to a suspect in police custody,” Hassan reported.
The three suspects, identified as John Solomon (38), Kunle Oluwale (45), and James Daniel Baba (45), all residents of Sabon Wuse, Abuja, were caught with a Bomtel handset and the drugs hidden in the bread. They attempted to persuade the Charge Room Officer (CRO) to deliver the loaf to Gideon Amao, a suspect currently under investigation by the SCID.
Hassan added that photographs of the suspects and the recovered items have been taken, and an investigation into the matter is ongoing.
