Three suspects arrested in Ikorodu for attempted kidnapping

The Lagos state police command has arrested three suspects in connection with an attempted kidnapping along Ebute Igbogbo Road, Ikorodu.

The suspects, identified as Taiwo Olayinka, 30, Azeez Sodiq, 33, and Saheed Moonstruck, 23, are currently in police custody.

The arrest was confirmed by the Lagos state police public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who disclosed that the suspects were apprehended shortly after the incident.

 According to SP Hundeyin, the suspects were part of a gang that allegedly attempted to kidnap a car dealer in the area.

“Our officers acted quickly and were able to arrest three of the suspects involved in the attempted kidnapping. The remaining two suspects managed to escape, but we are doing everything possible to ensure their capture,” SP Hundeyin said.

He further stated that an investigation had commenced to determine the full details of the incident.

While it is yet to be confirmed whether the suspects were acting as kidnappers or thieves, the police have assured the public that the investigation will be reviewed.
