Three suspects arrested over kidnapping of four-year-old boy in Kano
The Kano State Police Command has arrested three suspects, including a 30-year-old man, Hisbullahi Sani, in connection with the kidnapping of a four-year-old boy, Muhammad Nasir Jamilu, in Gwarzo Local Government Area.
The victim, Sani’s cousin, was abducted from Sharada Quarters in Kano and taken to Gwarzo Town, where the kidnappers demanded a ransom of ten million naira (₦10,000,000).
Kano State Police spokesman, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, confirmed the arrests in a statement to newsmen, revealing that the Command’s Surveillance Team had achieved a breakthrough in the case.

After negotiations, the family paid a sum of three hundred thousand naira (₦300,000), while awaiting further demands from the kidnappers.
Following a directive from the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Salman Dogo Garba, to rescue the child and apprehend the culprits, detectives successfully arrested three suspects: Hisbullahi Salisu, Hassan Ali Rabiu, and Hassan Aliyu.
The young victim was rescued unharmed and taken to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital for evaluation before being reunited with his family.
The suspects remain in custody and will face prosecution after the completion of the investigation. The swift action of the Kano Police highlights their commitment to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of residents.
