Tinubu departs UK to meet ex-Super Eagles players, APC chieftains in Kano

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congres (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will arrive in Kano today for the Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign tour in the state.

Naija News understands that the former Governor of Lagos State has been in London, United Kingdom, since last weekend, where he interacted with major stakeholders and government officials as part of his electioneering campaign.

In a telephone conversation with Naija News, however, the Director, Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, said the party’s flagbearer will arrive in Nigeria today.

According to him, Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and other party officials will receive Tinubu in Kano for the campaign tour.

He noted that former Super Eagles players have already arrived at the venue of the campaign kick-off and Tinubu would join them soon.

Onanuga, however, did not speak on the report claiming that Tinubu had secretly returned to Nigeria earlier.

A source had told SaharaReporters that the APC campaign team did not release any airport ceremonies or photos of Tinubu to the public. Suggesting that it could be due to fatigue on the ‘ailing’ APC candidate.
