Tinubu meets with Akpabio after Ningi suspension
President Bola Tinubu Tuesday evening held a meeting with some representatives of the Senate led by the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, at the State House.
The meeting came shortly after the suspension of Senator Abdul Ningi of Bauchi Central (PDP) for three months over his allegation that the 2024 Budget was padded to the tune of ₦3 trillion.
Ningi also alleged that there were two budgets in circulation and that the one currently being implemented was anti-North.
On Monday Ningi maintained his position that N3.7 trillion could not be accounted for in the 2024 budget.
At plenary on Tuesday, the Senate suspended Ningi for three months over his claims.
