Tinubu names new CEO for NSIPA, other key positions
President Bola Tinubu has appointed Badamasi Lawal as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
This is coming seven months after the suspension of the former NSIPA boss, Halima Shehu, on January 2 due to alleged financial malfeasance.
Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, the National N-POWER Programme Manager, served as the acting CEO during the investigation period.
Apart from the agency’s CEO, the President also appointed new heads for other humanitarian agencies.
The appointments were announced on Tuesday by presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
The statement read, “To facilitate the needed relief to Nigerians and ensure the effectiveness of humanitarian and social development programmes, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of seven qualified Nigerians to head strategic agencies and programmes under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.”
