Tinubu orders security agencies to fish out perpetrators of Plateau killings
President Bola Tinubu has ordered the security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the recent killings in Plateau state.
On Saturday, gunmen killed nine persons and razed six houses in the Sabon Gari community located in Mangu LGA of the state.
Jerry Datim, one of the leaders in the community, had said there were people that have not been seen since the attack.
In a statement on Tuesday, Dele Alake, special adviser to the president on special duties, communications and strategy, quoted Tinubu as saying that the attacks were needless.
“It is most unfortunate that in this orgy of violence, an innocent eight-month-old baby in Farin Lamba community of Vwang District, Jos south LG, died in a conflict she knew nothing about,” he said.

“A major consequence of perennial conflict is always the tragic loss of innocent lives.
“To build virile, peaceful and prosperous communities demand tolerance and forgiveness for every perceived wrongdoing.”
Tinubu asked community leaders, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and socio-cultural organisations to work together in a bid to create long-lasting peace.
The president charged the governments of Plateau and Benue states and emergency response agencies to provide support and immediate relief to victims who have been displaced as a result of the conflicts.
Recall that Caleb Mutfwang, governor of Plateau, imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mangu LGA of the state following recent attacks.
Also, Abdusalam Abubakar, commander of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), in Plateau, says he has temporarily relocated to the LGA.
Abubakar said the move will enable him to work in synergy with the local authority to mitigate the situation.
