Trade union leader, Yasin, mourns passing of Olofa of Offa’s mother
A foremost trade union leader and former President of Offa Descendants Union (ODU), Alhaji Najeem Usman Yasin, has commiserated with a prominent Kwara monarch, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, over the death of his revered mother, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi.
Yasin, who is Bashorun of Offa Kingdom, in a statement described the late Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi as a pillar of strength and wisdom in the kingdom while she was alive.
The statement personally signed by Yasin read in part, “It is with profound sadness that I, Alhaji Najeem Usman Yasin, the Bashorun of Offa Kingdom, commiserate with the Olofa of Offa kingdom, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi over the passing of Her Royal Highness, Alhaja Hawawu Awele Gbadamosi, the revered mother of our esteemed monarch.
“On Sunday, while I was in Saudi Arabia on official duties, I received the distressing news of her passing. I express shock and immense sorrow at the loss of this remarkable matriarch.
“Her selfless dedication to our community and unwavering support for our monarch earned her the respect and admiration of all.
“On behalf of myself and entire Yasin family, I extend our deepest condolences to our monarch, the royal family, and the entire kingdom.
“May the Almighty grant us the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
