The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suffered a major loss as its Chairman for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Sunday Zaka, reportedly died on early Saturday in a motor accident.
Zaka was said to have died at 3am Saturday after the accident while on his way to his residence in Kuje, Abuja.
He died alongside his personal security aide, after they had completing some party activities at the city centre.
A chieftain of the party, Michael Kpatuba, broke the news via a post on his Facebook page on Saturday morning.
The post read, “Rest in peace, Hon Zaka Sunday, FCT PDP Chairman.
“Dying on election day is really heartbroken to the FCT, PDP family.”
The family is yet to issue any statement on the unfortunate incident
