Troops arrest notorious gunrunner, son in Kaduna
Troops of Sector 7, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), have arrested a notorious gunrunner and his accomplice, recovering a cache of arms and ammunition during an operation in Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the operation was conducted on Sunday, January 20, 2025, following intelligence about the suspects.
Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that the suspects were identified as 62-year-old Timothy Yusuf and his son, Timothy Obadiah, who were apprehended at Fadiya Village in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.

He said that during the operation, troops recovered 11 fabricated rifles, two AK-47 magazines, and 60 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition.
“The suspects and the recovered arms and ammunition are currently in custody for further investigation, while efforts are ongoing to track and arrest other members of the gunrunning syndicate,” he said.
