Troops, CJTF Repel Boko Haram Assault Near Sambisa Corridor in Adamawa
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with other security agencies, have foiled an attempted attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Mayo Ladde village, Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The incident occurred at about 9:00 p.m. on Friday in the border settlement of Mayo Ladde, a strategic community linking Askira/Uba Local Government Area to the Sambisa Forest corridor in neighbouring Borno State.
Security sources disclosed to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama that the troops, with support from members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), swiftly responded to a distress alert following reports of the impending attack.

“The terrorists attempted to attack the village but were decisively engaged by the troops, who repelled them and forced them to retreat,” the source said.
No casualties were recorded during the operation, as residents had reportedly evacuated the community before the insurgents arrived.
The sources further revealed that security forces have intensified patrols and surveillance operations across the area and adjoining border communities to prevent further attacks and restrict the movement of the terrorists.
Operation Hadin Kai reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining offensive operations against Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters in order to safeguard lives and property across Nigeria’s North-East region.
