Troops raid Kebbi terrorists’ hideout, free kidnapped victims
The troops of the 8 Division, Nigerian Army, in conjunction with operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and local vigilantes in the early hours of Tuesday raided a terrorist camp in Kabbi State.
The troops, during the operation, killed one of the terrorists, rescued FOUR kidnapped persons and recovered arms and ammunition.
This was made known by the acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations 1 Brigade Gusau, Capt. Yahya Ibrahim.
He said, “The raid operation was conducted in the identified terrorists’ hideout at Sabon Gari village in THE Shanga Local Government Area in Kebbi State.

“During the operation, troops neutralised one of the terrorists and extricated four kidnap victims. The troops also recovered three AK-47 rifles, three magazines, 142 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and two pairs of camouflage uniforms.”
He added that all the rescued victims have since been reunited with their families, while troops continued to trail the wounded and fleeing terrorists.
