Trump Threatens More US Military Attacks if ISIS Killings Continue in Nigeria
United States President Donald Trump has warned that more US military attacks will follow if Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists continue killing Christians in Nigeria, revealing that he personally ordered deadly airstrikes against the group in the North-West region of the country.
In a statement on his Truth Social platform on Thursday, President Donald Trump said US forces carried out what he described as “numerous perfect strikes” against ISIS elements operating in North-West Nigeria, following earlier warnings to halt attacks on civilians.
The US President, speaking as Commander in Chief, said the operation was launched on Christmas Day after militants continued targeting innocent Christians. He vowed that the United States would not tolerate what he described as escalating brutality by radical Islamic terrorists.

Trump said the US Department of War executed the strikes with precision, stressing that the operation demonstrated America’s readiness to confront terrorism wherever it emerges. He added that further action would be taken if the killings persist.
Reacting to the operation, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the strikes sent a clear message to ISIS, praising the preparedness of US forces and acknowledging Nigeria’s cooperation in the operation.
Meanwhile, the United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) confirmed that the airstrikes resulted in the killing of multiple ISIS terrorists in Sokoto State, noting that the action was carried out in coordination with Nigerian authorities.
The development signals an escalation of US military involvement in Nigeria’s counter-terrorism efforts, particularly against ISIS-linked groups, and highlights growing security cooperation between the United States and Nigeria amid ongoing insurgency threats in the region.
