Twitter chooses Ghana as headquarters of Africa operations

The Co-founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has announced the company’s presence on the continent, with its head office in Ghana.
He stated this in a tweet on Monday.
Responding to this, President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, said that he held a virtual meeting with Jack on April 7, 2021.
He further revealed that Twitter’s Africa operations would have its headquarters in Ghana.
According to him, the choice of Ghana as the HQ for Twitter’s Africa operations is exciting and excellent news.
He said, “Government and Ghanaians welcome very much this announcement and the confidence reposed in our country.
“As I indicated to @Jack in our virtual meeting of 7th April 2021, this is the start of a beautiful partnership between Twitter and Ghana, which is critical for the dev’t of Ghana’s hugely important tech sector.
“These are exciting times to be in, and to do business in Ghana.”
