Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf
Two female students of the Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State, were abducted on Sunday from their hostel.
Some bandits had broken into the rented hostel of the university in the Sabon Gida village, Bungudu and broke into the rented female and locked up two security men found on duty and dispossessed them of their handsets.
They immediately went into the rooms and abducted two female students of Microbiology Department of the university.
Police Public Relations Officer in Zamfara, SP Muhammad Shehu, confirmed the incident, adding that the criminals had fled with the victims by the time the police tactical team arrived at the scene.
“The Commissioner of Police therefore is appealing for continuous support from members of the public to enable the police succeed in the rescue mission,” Shehu said.
