Two people arrested in Oyo with fresh human skull
Two persons have been apprehended for being in possession of fresh human skull, the police in Oyo State have said.
The human skull is said to belong to an unidentified woman in the Amuloko area of Ibadan, the state capital.
The command’s spokesperson, Osifeso Adewale, disclosed the development to newsmen on Tuesday.
The arrest was made following a viral video showing some residents of the state detaining a man known only as Musa, who was found with a human skull.
It was gathered that the residents had become wary of the suspect’s unusual behaviour and movement in the vicinity, prompting them to accost him and ask that he reveal the contents of the sack he was carrying.

During the inspection, the residents were enveloped by shock when they discovered that the man was carrying a human skull.
OyoAffairs, an online news outlet, shared the video on its X.com platform, stating, “Man caught with a fresh human head earlier today in the Amuloko area of Ibadan. He has been handed over to the police.”
The suspect reportedly confessed to being a member of a syndicate that specializes in the sale of human body parts in the state.
In response to the incident, Osifeso informed told newsmen that an investigation had been launched to uncover more details about the crime, confirming that the two suspects were apprehended in connection with it.
“The case is under investigation. Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident. More updates would be communicated accordingly,” Osifeso simply stated.
