Two suspected kidnappers who killed man for recognising them arrested in Edo
Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested two suspects, Pedro Festus and Omorodion Felix, for the kidnapping and k!lling a 22-year-old man after collecting ransom.
The suspects are members of a notorious kidnap gang specialised in kidnapping and car snatching in Delta and Edo states.
It was gathered that the suspects attacked the young man identified as Joseph at Uwore community in front of his house and whisked him into a bush along the Benin-Akure Road.
The victim was reportedly driving into his compound when the suspects blocked his vehicle at gunpoint and whisked him away in his car.

The suspects demanded N10 million ransom but the family were able to raise only N250,000 and sent it to them while negotiation continued.
The suspects after collecting the money N250,000 reportedly k!lled the victim as ransom negotiation was still ongoing and sold his vehicle to an unknown buyer.
The suspects were later arrested by the police and confessed to the crime and murder of the victim who identified them as neighbours in the same community.
It was gathered that one of the suspects, Pedro was arrested for armed robbery and charged to court with the name Ikoowonsa Owege but escaped from custody during the #EndSars protest in 2020.
After escaping from prison, Owege changed his name to Pedro Festus and used the name to commit a series of kidnappings and murders in the state.
