Speaking on state television, Cabello said this marked the first official casualty figure released since the raid, noting that civilians were among the dead, although he did not break down the numbers by category. Previously, the Venezuelan military had published a list of 23 soldiers killed during the operation, while Cuba reported 32 of its military and intelligence personnel stationed in Venezuela were also killed. Cabello claimed that a significant portion of Maduro’s security detail was “killed in cold blood” during the assault, which Venezuelan officials have condemned as a barbaric attack. (Anadolu Ajansı)
