VIDEOS: Nigerian Comedienne Princess Seeks Husband, Appeals to Top Pastors

Popular Nigerian comedienne Damilola Adekoya, widely known as Princess, has been identified as the woman who recently made a public appeal to leading clerics to help her find a life partner.

Princess, who is single and ready to mingle, called on Pastor Jerry Eze, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, and Apostle Femi Lazarus to assist her in connecting with a kind, responsible, and God-fearing man within their church congregations. She described herself as a woman who would bring “greatness” and positive impact into the life of the man she eventually marries.

The appeal, which quickly gained traction online, has generated widespread reactions across social media, with fans and followers praising her boldness while others debated the growing trend of public matchmaking through churches.

Princess’ revelation comes against the backdrop of increasing conversations around Christian dating, marriage, and the pressure faced by single women in the public eye. In recent months, several Nigerians—especially creatives and influencers—have openly discussed their relationship journeys, often turning to faith communities as safe spaces for finding compatible partners.

The comedienne, known for her outspoken personality and humorous takes on societal issues, has also been open in the past about personal challenges, making her latest move resonate with many Nigerians navigating similar paths.

Pastors Jerry Eze of Streams of Joy International, Bolaji Idowu of Harvesters International Christian Centre, and Apostle Femi Lazarus of Sphere of Light Church are widely followed for teachings on faith, purpose, relationships, and marriage, and each leads large congregations with active youth populations.

As of the time of this report, none of the pastors has publicly responded to Princess’ request. However, the development has reignited online discussions on the role of religious leaders in matchmaking, the evolving nature of Christian courtship, and the courage it takes for public figures to openly seek love.
