Violent Clashes at Iranian Embassy in London: 14 Arrested, Police Injured
London, UK — At least 14 protesters were arrested and several police officers injured after demonstrations outside the Iranian Embassy in London turned violent on Friday night. The protest, organised in support of anti-government movements in Iran, escalated when some participants clashed with the Metropolitan Police and attempted to breach diplomatic premises.
The unrest took place in South Kensington, where hundreds gathered to show solidarity with ongoing protests inside Iran. Reports indicate that one protester climbed the embassy building and removed the Iranian national flag, resulting in an arrest on suspicion of criminal damage, trespassing on diplomatic property, and assaulting police officers.
