Zayyanu Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko
54 days to the 2023 general election, Zayyanu Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, a nephew of former Sokoto State governor and lawmaker representing Sokoto North, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has decamped from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the main opposition, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Zayyanu Magatakarda, who is also son-in-law to the current Minister for Police Affairs, Muhammad Maigari Dingyaɗi, an APC leader in the state, declared his membership of the PDP at the party’s campaign rally in Wamakko town on Sunday.

The APC leader’s relative told the crowd that his move was inspired by the progressive spirit of the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal. He said he identified with the development strides of the current PDP administration in the state and expressed readiness to join in the party’s effort to advance the life of the people.
Magatakarda revealed that he was joining PDP along with his teeming supporters, who are poised to work towards the victory of the PDP in the upcoming elections.
