We need to review evidence before confirming Hilda Baci’s feat – Guinness World Records
Guinness World Records, on Monday, said it was reviewing the new longest cooking time record set by Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci.
On Monday, Hilda Baci surpassed the 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs world cooking record set by Indian chef, Lata Tondon in 2019.
Baci started her 4-day cooking marathon challenge on the 11th of May at the Amore Gardens, and she is now fast approaching 93 hours.

However, in replying to a tweet by a concerned person who was worried about the silence from the Gunness World Record Twitter handle @GWR, the body tweeted, “we’re aware of this amazing record attempt, we need to review all the evidence first before officially confirming a record.”
Guinness World Records is a British reference book published annually, listing world records both of human achievements and the extremes of the natural world.
