Why I’ll work against Obi as running mate – Aisha Yesufu

Activist, Aisha Yesufu, says she will never support Peter Obi should he decide to become a running mate to any politician in the 2027 general election.

Obi was earlier reported to have given conditions to succumb to calls to stand as a running mate of any frontline northern politician.

He has since dismissed this call but said that he is open to working with anyone desirous of taking Nigeria to the next level.

Yesufu in video that has gone viral said, ‘’He should run as Vice? I am giving you my word now. Do not say I did not say it. If Peter Obi is running with anyone as the vice president or running mate to that person, me, Aisha Yesufu, in my little capacity, I will work against that ticket.

“Even if I do not support any other party, it is to work against that ticket. Why are we always asking the best to be second?

‘They have turned Peter Obi to the case of the way they treat women. They always put you in the deputy position, running mate.

“I have said it the other time..even if it is a goat that is running for President, you people will put Aisha Yesufu as Vice because as a woman, you see me as vice and nothing else.”
