Ademola Lookman’s dad speaks on son’s CAF award

Father of Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman has attributed his son’s success in emerging as the 2024 CAF Player of the Year to his humility, focus, and commitment to football.

In a glittering ceremony held on Monday in Marrakech, Morocco, Lookman was crowned Africa’s best, marking a milestone in his career.

Speaking with journalist, Calister Ojonugwa Enejele, after the event, Lookman’s father expressed his pride and admiration for his son, emphasizing the values that have driven him to this level of success.

“I am so proud of him as a father, because he is a very committed player, he is very humble, he does not like too much publicity, because he really wants to focus on his football. And that is what has taken him to this level,” he said.

The Nigerian international, who has enjoyed a stellar year, has consistently impressed fans and critics alike with his performances on both club and international fronts.

On the back of being crowned the best player on the continent, the Super Eagles forward takes the tally of Nigerians who have won the award to six.
