The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and his allies ahead of the 2023 presidential election have foreclosed the possibility of reconciling with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
The five aggrieved PDP governors and their supporters known as the Integrity Group are not considering ending their differences with Atiku.
Members of the group had called for the resignation of the party’s National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu and asked that he be replaced with a Southerner.

A source that spoke with The Nation on the crisis in PDP on Saturday said PDP leadership has refused to show interest in addressing the demands of the G5 governors.
The source said, “I don’t see any possibility of reconciliation. And this, I can tell you, is the current position of things within the Integrity Group led by the G5 governor of the PDP.
“The presidential candidate and the leadership of the party have refused to show commitment to the restructuring we seek within our party ahead of the general elections.
“Instead, they have been boasting that they can win the presidency without us. How can people be shouting reconciliation on one hand and be boasting on the other hand? Who does that? The demands of the G5 governors are not personal. But they don’t seem to see it that way.”
