Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has threatened to depose any monarch and Community Development Committee (CDC) leaders extorting money from companies handling government projects.
He issued the warning on Wednesday at the flag-off of the construction of the Rumuepirikom Flyover in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
The governor said any monarch, who summoned contractors handling government projects to his palace for the purpose of demanding inducement would lose his throne.
He warned youths in the state to resist the temptation of disrupting government projects in their communities.
The governor advised Julius Berger and other companies handling construction work to ensure implementation of the local content component of the project.
The governor noted that Rumuepirikom was not pronounced for criminal activities because the leadership of the community sufficiently enforced good conducts among the residents.
He vowed to complete all the roads in his community saying he would not disturb his successor to construct road in his community.
