Wike’s birthday: Loyalists, associates set to shut down Rivers
Loyalists, associates, and supporters of Chief Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), are organizing a grand celebration to honour his birthday.
The event, scheduled for Friday, is set to dominate Rivers State, particularly Port Harcourt, as a demonstration of Wike’s political influence in the state.
The celebration comes amidst ongoing tensions between Wike and the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, raising concerns about potential clashes between their respective supporters.
Numerous groups and movements are mobilizing to mark the former governor’s birthday. Leading the charge is the NEW Associates, a political organization named after Wike’s initials—Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
