Wole Soyinka Is Hale And Hearty – Son Debunks Death Rumours

Citizen NewsNG reports that Ilemakin Soyinka, son of Nobel Laureate and playwright, Wole Soyinka has denied reports making the rounds that he has passed on.

Citizen NewsNG gathered that since last week, social media and online News Platforms have been awashed with reports that the Nobel Laureate had died.

A post stating that Soyinka was Dead was sighted on a Twitter account supposedly belonging to the winner of the 2021 Nobel prize for literature, Abdulrazak Gurna.

Nigerians and foreign associates of Soyinka have been worried about the rumoured death.

Further checks by Citizen NewsNG revealed that the tweet has been deleted though had attracted numerous comments from tweeps. some people however expressed their condolences to the Soyinka family.
During an interview session with TheCable, Ilemakin Soyinka said his father is alive, Hale and Hearty. He urged the general public to disregard the rumours.
