Woman, 19, stabs man to death in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old woman, Fatimo Agboke, for allegedly stabbing a 20-year-old man, Faruk Azeez, to death.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday, following the incident that occurred on Monday, September 9, in the Ijegun area of Lagos.
According to Hundeyin, the fatal altercation took place around 9:20 p.m. after a heated argument between Agboke and Azeez escalated into a physical fight.

During the confrontation, Agboke reportedly stabbed Azeez in the neck with a broken bottle, causing severe injuries.
The victim’s father, who had lodged a complaint at the Isheri-Osun Police Division, attempted to rush his son to the hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, Azeez succumbed to his injuries before they could reach the hospital.
Police officers from the division visited the scene and found Azeez’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood with a deep wound to his neck. His body has since been taken to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, for an autopsy.
The police have launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragic death of Azeez.
