Woman, 2 children die after suspected food poisoning in Imo

A heartbreaking incident has rocked the Ihitenasa community in Chikenagu Amadaiaba Autonomous Community, Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State, where a 39-year-old woman, Mrs. Nchukwube Mmaduabuchi, and her two children tragically passed away after allegedly consuming a meal suspected to have been poisoned.

The deceased children, identified as 17-year-old Adachukwu Vivian Mmaduabuchi and 14-year-old Tochukwu Mmaduabuchi, died alongside their mother in the unfortunate event that has left the community in shock and mourning.

The three were laid to rest on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, amidst an outpouring of grief from family, friends, and neighbors.

Investigations into the cause of the suspected poisoning are ongoing as authorities and community leaders seek to uncover the circumstances surrounding this devastating incident.
