Woman allegedly stabs husband to death in Oyo

Police operatives in Oyo State have arrested a 33-year-old woman, Comfort Tinubu, for allegedly stabbing his husband to death in Ibadan.

The spokesman to the state police command, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident to journalists on Friday in Ibadan.

He identified the victim as 39-year-old Olusegun Tinubu.

Osifeso said that an investigation was ongoing in the case.

The spokesman said: “The case is under investigation at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Neighbours told journalists that the couple got married three years ago and lived at Gbeyi in the Adegbayi area of Ibadan.

The marriage is blessed with two children.

They said the couple started an argument at about 10: 00 p.m. on Wednesday, and the woman allegedly locked the husband out of their bedroom

“This resulted in a fight during which the wife stabbed the husband in the back,” one of the neighbours said.
