Woman arrested for cutting off step-grandson’s lips with hot kn!fe

The Police Command in Taraba has detained a woman for allegedly using a hot knife to burn the lips of her step-grandson in a shocking case of domestic violence.

The incident took place in the Wukari Local Government Area, where the victim, identified as Chicherim Julius, suffered severe injuries after being assaulted by his grandfather’s wife.

Ibrahim Audu Angyu, the Senior Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Chairman of Wukari LGA, confirmed the arrest.

He expressed disbelief at the cruelty of the act, stating, “It is unimaginable that anyone could inflict such pain on a child.”

Angyu condemned the attack, describing it as a “gruesome and inexcusable act of violence” and emphasized the need for strong condemnation.

He also praised the swift action taken by the Executive Chairman of Wukari Local Government Council, Dauda Samaila, who ordered the arrest of the perpetrator and ensured that Chicherim Julius received necessary medical attention.

“This demonstrates that no one is above the law and that justice will be served, regardless of the situation,” Angyu added.
