Woman in trouble for inserting firewood into girl’s private parts
A 25-year-old woman has been taken into custody in Ogun State for allegedly assaulting a 12-year-old girl by inserting a piece of firewood into her private parts.
The incident arose after the girl was accused of stealing items worth N650 in Isewo, Obada Oko, located within the Ewekoro Local Government Area.
According to reports, the girl was suspected of taking biscuits valued at N200, a Milo beverage worth N150, and fruit juice costing N300.
The Ogun State police command detailed that the minor was subjected to severe physical punishment by her guardian due to these theft allegations.

The assault reportedly occurred around 11:00 am on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Following the incident, the woman was apprehended by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Obada-Oko.
State police spokesperson Omolola Odutola commented on the arrest: “On June 13, 2024, (a woman) aged 25, was detained by the DPO in Obada-Oko, Ogun State, for allegedly inserting a significant piece of firewood into the genital area of a 12-year-old girl, accusing her of stealing items worth N650.”
Upon receiving the report, officers from the Juvenile Welfare Centre were deployed to apprehend Adetanju. She reportedly admitted to the accusations, and an ongoing investigation is ensuring that all details of the incident are being thoroughly reviewed.
