Nasir El-Rufai and Governor Uba Sani
You’ll fall like candy in child’s hand, El-Rufa tells Kaduna gov
In a recent address to his supporters and associates during the Sallah celebrations, Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate-past governor of Kaduna State, predicted the failure of his successor, Governor Uba Sani.
El-Rufai remarked that “Governor Sani will fall off like a candy.”
This statement comes amid an ongoing investigation recommended by the Kaduna State House of Assembly into the loans received and spent during El-Rufai’s administration.
Despite the probe, El-Rufai expressed confidence and indicated he was not disturbed by it. Instead, his concern lies with the potential shortcomings of Sani’s administration.

El-Rufai urged his supporters to refrain from engaging in verbal conflicts with Governor Sani’s aides. “Support the governor and his cabinet members with prayers for them to do the right thing. Don’t feel hurt with what’s going on.
When he is done prancing, he will fall off like candy [in a kid’s hand],” he said, according to DailyNigerian.
Tensions between the two politicians have been high, with reports from newstrends indicating that Governor Sani accused El-Rufai of plunging the state into debt. Sani claimed that his administration struggled to pay salaries due to the financial burdens left by El-Rufai’s eight-year tenure at the Kashim Ibrahim House.
As the political climate in Kaduna State remains charged, the unfolding developments between the current and former governors continue to capture public attention.
