U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
Zelenskyy’s rudeness to Trump may end Ukraine-US relations
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s rudeness toward U.S. President Donald Trump may put an end to relations between Kiev and Washington, Viktor Medvedchuk, has said.
The former leader of the banned Ukrainian Opposition Platform For Life (OPFL) party and chairman of the council of the Other Ukraine movement, said this on Monday.
“Zelenskyy went for a public international scandal, speaking at a press conference in Kiev on Sunday.
“As we can see, he has not stopped rudely responding to Donald Trump and his entire administration; he is already hitting them between the eyes.
“All these actions cannot but put an end to the relations between the U.S. and Ukraine,’’ Medvedchuk said in an article released on the Other Ukraine website.
“Zelenskyy has chosen a path of extreme confrontation with the U.S., leaving no room for compromise with Washington,” Medvedchuk said.

Among other moves, the Ukrainian president refused to hold elections, abandoned a deal on Ukraine’s debt to the U.S., demanded that Washington commit to entering the war against Russia.
“This is to ensure 100 per cent protection of the skies over Ukraine’’, and refused to adjust his demands for a possible peaceful settlement, which largely contradict the position of Trump and his team,” he added.
On Saturday, Trump said that he expected to reach a deal with Kiev on obligations to compensate Washington for 400-500 billion dollars soon.
In turn, Zelenskyy refused to acknowledge the debt to the U.S. of either 500 billion dollars or 100 billion dollars, claiming Ukraine received assistance from the U.S. in the form of a grant.
On Wednesday, Trump said on Truth Social that a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked America into spending 350 Billion dollars.
The U.S. leader specified that Washington spent 200 billion dollars more than Europe, but, unlike Europe, which would receive compensation, the U.S. will get nothing back.
