19-year-old Internet fraudster remanded for raping 17-year-old girl to death in Kwara

Isaac Odunayo, 19, was remanded in prison by a Kwara State Magistrate Court in Ilorin for raping a 17-year-old girl to death.

According to the police First Information Report (FIR), Odunayo enticed the deceased into the hotel and had carnal knowledge of her till she died.

According to the prosecutor, Abdullah Sanni, the suspect attempted to flee the hotel 45 minutes after they arrived but was arrested by the hotel’s management, who summoned him to pay for the room.

“Thereafter, the manager followed Odunayo into the room, where they discovered that the girl was lying unconscious in the pool of her blood.

“During the police interrogation, Odunayo confessed that he had sex with the girl, which resulted in her bleeding to death, that he’s an internet fraudster,” he said.

The presiding judge, Magistrate Mohammad Dasuki, after considering the submission of the prosecutor, ordered the remand of the suspect and adjourned the case to December 12, 2023.
