2027: Lagos gov: Southern youths endorse Seyi Tinubu
The Southern Youth Movement (SYM) has called on Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to contest the Lagos State governorship election in 2027, describing him as the ideal leader for the digital age.
In a statement issued over the weekend, Chief Promise Lawuru, National President of SYM, stated that Seyi Tinubu is not only constitutionally qualified but also represents a new era of leadership focused on innovation and youth empowerment.
“We, the Southern Youth Movement, hereby call on Engr. Seyi Tinubu to contest the forthcoming 2027 governorship election in Lagos State. He is qualified in every way—by age, constitutionally, and as a proud Lagosian,” the statement read.

The group vowed to mobilize youth support across southern Nigeria to back Seyi Tinubu’s bid, citing his work ethic, digital expertise, and leadership potential as key attributes that would bring growth and expansion to Lagos State.
“Seyi Tinubu is a hardworking man who has proven his capability beyond being the president’s son. Lagos needs digital leadership to usher in the next phase of development, and we believe Seyi is the future governor Lagos needs,” the statement added.
The movement urged Lagosians to view Seyi Tinubu independently of his father’s presidency, adding that he is credible, experienced, and has a vision for the state.
