Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and Edo State legislator Natasha Osawaru have welcomed their first child together—a baby boy.

Speculation about the birth intensified on Friday after Osawaru was spotted at a hospital, prompting rumours that she had gone into labour. The confirmation came shortly after when she announced on her official Facebook page that the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy.” The post immediately drew widespread reactions and congratulatory messages across social media platforms.

The arrival of the baby marks a significant milestone in the evolving relationship between the award-winning singer and the lawmaker. The couple publicly formalised their union earlier this year following 2Baba’s separation from Annie Idibia in January.

Their relationship has been in the public eye—from the much-talked-about Valentine’s Eve proposal to family introductions and traditional rites. In July, they held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja attended by close relatives.
