5-foot alligator ‘arrested’ at 104-year-old Florida woman’s home
A 5-foot alligator was “arrested” at the home of a 104-year-old Florida woman who reported the animal’s presence on her property. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office shared on social media that two officers responded to the unusual call near Atlantic Boulevard and Art Museum Drive.

The officers, facing the challenge of dealing with the reptile, called in licensed trapper Mike Dragich to help secure the gator. In a video of the capture, one officer humorously remarked, “We can’t cuff him. You are under arrest, you got to leave those grandmas alone. We’re going to take you downtown.”
The sheriff’s office confirmed that the alligator was safely transported and released in another location by the trapper.
