Portable Slams Olamide, Claims Rapper Will Regret Not Signing Him to YBNL
Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has publicly called out acclaimed rapper Olamide, claiming he “will regret not signing me” to his YBNL record label.
Portable, who gained fame with the 2021 hit “Zazoo Zeh”, a collaboration with Olamide and dancer Poco Lee, aired his grievances on Instagram, accusing his former collaborators of cheating him and withdrawing support after he demanded his rights.
The “Tony Montana” hitmaker wrote: “If you forget me, my God will not forget me. God bless Skepta, my helper who carried me from where they stopped… Olamide Bado will regret why he did not sign me or support me again, just because I fought for my rights.”

Portable also highlighted his international rise, claiming that “Zazuu turned a local rapper into an international rapper and a local dancer into a ripper.” He insisted that his fan base and global recognition would ensure he becomes bigger than those who blocked his path.
This is not the first time Portable has publicly criticized fellow artistes. In 2023, he initially sought collaborations with Davido and Burna Boy, later criticizing them for perceived lack of support despite generous gestures, including a N20 million gift from Burna Boy.
The ongoing controversy underscores tensions in the Nigerian music industry, particularly regarding artist recognition, label signings, and collaboration disputes.

Ned Nwoko Breaks Silence on Regina Daniels’ Health, Warns Bloggers Over Fake Reports
Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence on the health challenges facing his estranged wife and Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, appealing to Nigerians to show compassion and stop spreading false reports about her condition.
Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, made the appeal in a statement shared on his social media platforms on Monday, November 2, 2026.
He urged Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators to give the actress privacy and sufficient space to recover from her health difficulties.
The senator said the actress had endured more than many people realised, insisting that she needed emotional support rather than public criticism and speculation.
“Regina has been through a lot, more than many people may realise, and right now, what she needs most is love, support and the opportunity to recover,” he said.
Nwoko added that a video Regina shared during her 25th birthday celebration in October offered the public a glimpse into some of the health challenges she had been experiencing.
According to him, the actress should not be subjected to further criticism or judgment at a time when she needs support to regain her health.
“As someone who knows what she has been through, I can tell you that this is not a time to judge, vilify or add to her burdens. It is a time to show compassion and allow her the opportunity to heal,” he stated.
The lawmaker also said his appeal was partly motivated by the welfare of their two children, Munir and Khalifa, who, according to him, deserved to see their mother supported and given every opportunity to recover.
He further expressed concern over the circulation of fabricated reports about Regina’s alleged death, misleading accounts of her health and other claims concerning her personal circumstances.

Nwoko warned bloggers and social media users against deliberately publishing false information about the actress, saying such reports had caused her considerable emotional distress.
He maintained that Regina was aware of many of the publications and that their circulation could further compound the difficulties she was experiencing.
The senator consequently threatened legal action against individuals responsible for spreading fabricated stories about her.
“We are documenting these publications, and anyone found responsible will be held accountable through the appropriate legal channels,” he warned.
He urged her supporters to discourage the circulation of unverified information rather than amplify it for online attention and engagement.
Regina’s health became a subject of widespread public discussion after she marked her 25th birthday on October 10, 2026, in a wheelchair.
The actress had disclosed that she had been battling severe pain and mobility difficulties for several months, explaining that what initially appeared to be a minor health problem had worsened and affected her ability to walk freely.
She also spoke about experiencing swollen and weakened legs, prompting concern among fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
However, she did not publicly disclose a definitive medical diagnosis explaining the condition.
Nwoko’s intervention comes against the background of the highly publicised marital dispute between the senator and the actress, which became prominent on social media in October 2025.
During the dispute, Regina accused Nwoko of domestic violence and controlling behaviour, allegations he denied.
The senator, in turn, accused the actress of substance abuse, a claim she disputed while making counter-allegations about their relationship.
Their disagreements generated widespread reactions, with both sides making claims about the circumstances surrounding the breakdown of their marriage.
Nwoko’s latest statement does not announce a reconciliation between the estranged couple. Rather, it focuses on Regina’s well-being, the welfare of their children and his objection to the circulation of false reports about the actress.
He called on the public to respect her privacy and allow her the opportunity to concentrate on her recovery.

We Learnt of His Death on Instagram’: Toluwanisings’ Family Demands Answers Over Mysterious Circumstances
‘We Learnt of His Death on Instagram’: Toluwanisings’ Family Demands Answers Over Mysterious Circumstances
A family dispute has erupted following the death of a young man identified as Sodiq, popularly known as Toluwanisings, after his relatives raised serious questions about the circumstances surrounding his death and how they were informed of the tragedy.
The deceased’s family, through a statement by a man who identified himself as the younger brother of Sodiq’s father, accused members of his wife’s household of failing to notify his biological family about his death before information about the incident surfaced on social media.
The family representative said five relatives travelled to the deceased’s residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, following the news of his death, expecting to meet a grieving household.
However, he claimed that what they encountered at the residence left them deeply disturbed.
According to his account, there was no visible atmosphere of mourning, as people were allegedly moving around with food and takeaways while others watched television.
He said he personally demanded that the television be switched off, questioning what he described as a lack of respect for the deceased.
The family representative further alleged that when he asked Sodiq’s wife whether she recognised the five people who had visited, she said she knew only two of them.
He described the response as another source of concern, considering that the visitors were relatives sent by the deceased’s family.
The controversy reportedly intensified when the relatives requested that the deceased’s personal assistant (PA) take them to the mortuary where his body had been embalmed.
According to the uncle, they initially encountered resistance, alleging that attempts were made to prevent them from accessing the deceased’s remains.
He said he eventually contacted the family elders who had sent them to report the development and seek further instructions, insisting that their mandate was to see the body of their deceased son.
The uncle claimed that the PA eventually agreed to take them to the mortuary after it became apparent that the family would not abandon its demand.
He described seeing Sodiq’s lifeless body as an emotionally devastating experience, saying the reality of his death finally became clear to the visiting relatives.
The family representative also disclosed that he confronted the deceased’s wife with questions about her relationship with Sodiq’s biological father.
He claimed that she confirmed having met her father-in-law but could not explain why she had allegedly failed to check on him.
According to the statement, she also said she did not know where her father-in-law lived.
The uncle further questioned why the deceased’s biological family allegedly learnt about his death through Instagram rather than receiving a direct telephone call from his wife.
He described the response to the question as silence.
The family representative also said he spoke with the wife’s mother, who reportedly disclosed that they were from Iwo, Osun State.
He alleged that the wife’s mother and her siblings were living in the same house with Sodiq, yet his biological father was not informed about his son’s death before the information became public.
The uncle further accused members of the household of attempting to secretly record the family during their visit.
He said the development added to the family’s concerns, particularly as they were seeking explanations about the circumstances surrounding the death of their son and brother.
Describing the experience as painful and unacceptable, he insisted that the family would not remain silent until the issues surrounding the incident were addressed.
He called for justice, transparency and respect for the deceased, stressing that no family should have to discover the death of its son through social media when close relatives could have been contacted directly.
The statement ended with renewed calls for answers under the hashtags #JusticeForToluwanisings and #JusticeForSodiq.
As of the time of filing this report, the allegations made by the deceased’s relatives had not been independently verified. The account of the wife and other members of her household was also not contained in the statement.
The circumstances surrounding Sodiq’s death, including the events preceding it and the reason his biological family allegedly did not receive prompt notification, remain issues requiring clarification.
Newstrends.ng will continue to follow developments surrounding the controversy and any response from the deceased’s wife, her family or relevant authorities.

Emeka Ike Loses ₦10bn Privacy Suit Against Wike’s Aide, INEC
A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a ₦10 billion lawsuit filed by Nollywood actor Emeka Ike against Lere Olayinka, an aide to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the alleged publication of his voter registration details on social media.
Justice Salim Ibrahim delivered the judgment on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, after considering objections raised by the respondents and the actor’s claims over the alleged violation of his right to privacy and protection of personal data.
Ike had approached the court seeking ₦10 billion in damages, arguing that Olayinka violated his fundamental rights by publishing information about his transfer of voter registration from Imo State to the Federal Capital Territory on his X account in May.
The suit, marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1272/2026, was filed through his lawyer, L.T. Adeh. The actor asked the court to declare that the publication of his voter registration information without his consent violated Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution, Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and relevant provisions of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
He also sought an order directing Olayinka to delete the disputed post and issue a written apology over the alleged infringement of his rights.
Ike further argued that INEC had a statutory responsibility to safeguard voters’ personal information against unauthorised access and disclosure. He maintained that the commission’s statement issued on June 2 in response to the controversy amounted to an admission of liability.

However, INEC denied violating its obligation to protect voters’ information. The commission argued that the material in question was neither classified nor confidential and maintained that relevant electoral laws permitted certain voter information to be made available to the public.
INEC also denied that the disputed material originated from a breach of its secured database or that its systems had been unlawfully accessed.
Olayinka, in his defence, argued that the information he published contained Ike’s name and passport photograph, which he claimed were already in the public domain. He denied obtaining the information unlawfully or breaching any duty of confidentiality.
The aide also maintained that the publication was intended to draw attention to Ike’s transfer of voter registration and relevant provisions of the Electoral Act. He urged the court to dismiss the case, describing the actor’s damages claim as unjustified.
The dispute emerged after Ike indicated interest in contesting the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general election on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He subsequently lost the party’s primary election.
The dismissal represents a legal setback for the actor, who had sought substantial compensation over the publication of his voter registration details.
The case has also drawn attention to questions surrounding the handling of voters’ personal information, the limits of public disclosure and the responsibilities of electoral institutions in protecting citizens’ data.
