A tragic incident has occurred in Jigawa State, where 26-year-old Nura Mas’ud allegedly set his 60-year-old grandmother, Zuwaira Muhammad, ablaze, resulting in her death.
The motive behind this heinous act was reportedly the grandmother’s comments about Nura’s physical appearance, which he found upsetting.
Jigawa State Police Command, Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Adam, confirmed the suspect’s arrest in a statement on Saturday.
According to DSP Lawan Adam, Nura poured gasoline on his grandmother and ignited it at their family house in Mu’azu village on October 8, 2024.
