Bandits attack southern Kaduna again, abduct 12 people
Twelve people, including a community leader, were abducted in two separate attacks on Libere and Unguwan Babangida communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Among the abductees is Mallam Babangida Sogiji, the community leader of Unguwan Babangida, who was kidnapped along with others during the Friday morning attack.
Aminu Khalid, youth leader of Dokan Karji, revealed that four victims—Pheobe Adauji, Cecilia Moses, Tambaya, and his wife—were abducted on Thursday while harvesting crops on their farms.

The attackers struck again the next day, seizing six more residents, including two seasonal workers from Jigawa State who had come for farming activities.
“We are still waiting for the kidnappers to reach out for ransom or negotiations,” Khalid said, expressing alarm over the worsening security situation in the region.
He lamented the increasing threat posed by bandits, who have forced many residents to flee their homes. “These criminals continue to take over more villages, causing fear and disrupting lives in Kauru Local Government,” he added.
