The Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission has commenced the screening of Lauretta Onochie, a presidential aide.
Onochie was nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari as an INEC commissioner.
The nomination has generated controversy as the opposition party and other critics have called for her name to be dropped as she is said to be a card-carrying member of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
