BREAKING: Tinubu set to appoint new EFCC chairman as embattled Bawa resigns
Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the EFCC, is said to have agreed to resign.
According to sources, President Tinubu would appoint the new EFCC chairman, as well as the Director-General of the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) and the incoming Chairman of the ICPC.
reports that, Bawa was detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja.
Bawa, who has been held by the DSS since June 14, 2023, is being investigated for alleged financial misconduct.
