Grammy-winning Afrobeat sensation Burna Boy has offered rare insight into his evolving spiritual beliefs, revealing that despite converting from Christianity to Islam and exploring multiple religions, he remains uncertain about spiritual truth.
In a candid interview streamed on Playboymax, the artist—born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu—shared that his religious upbringing was shaped by his environment and family. “Growing up, I was a Christian because that’s what my parents believed and that’s what I was born into,” he explained.
Burna Boy disclosed that he later made a conscious decision to embrace Islam, driven by a personal quest for meaning. However, his journey didn’t end there. He has since delved into various belief systems, hoping to uncover deeper truths.
