Democrats release Epstein emails alleging Trump link; White House denies claims
Democrats on the U.S. House Oversight Committee have released a series of emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate that they say suggest possible links between the late financier and President Donald Trump — a claim the White House has strongly denied.
The newly disclosed messages, which form part of over 20,000 pages of documents obtained from Epstein’s estate, include three email exchanges involving Epstein, his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and author Michael Wolff.
In one email dated April 2011, Epstein wrote to Maxwell: “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump… [Victim] spent hours at my house with him.” Democrats say the message raises new concerns about Trump’s connections to Epstein and accused the White House of attempting to suppress the full release of Epstein-related materials.
Another email, from January 2019, shows Epstein telling Wolff that Trump “knew about the girls because he asked Ghislaine to stop,” while a 2016 exchange featured Wolff offering Epstein an interview opportunity that he claimed could “finish Trump” shortly before the presidential election.

Representative Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the Oversight Committee, said the messages underscore “serious questions” about the administration’s handling of Epstein-related files.
“The more Donald Trump tries to cover up the Epstein files, the more we uncover,” Garcia said. “The Department of Justice must fully release all Epstein documents to the public immediately.”
The White House, however, dismissed the claims as politically motivated. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt described the email release as “a selective leak designed to smear President Trump,” insisting that Democrats were trying to divert attention from domestic issues, including the ongoing government funding negotiations.
Leavitt said the “unnamed victim” referenced in the emails was the late Virginia Giuffre, who had previously stated that Trump was never involved in any wrongdoing.
“President Trump expelled Jeffrey Epstein from his club decades ago for inappropriate behavior toward female staff,” Leavitt said. “Any American with common sense can see this is another baseless political stunt.”
Trump has repeatedly denied any misconduct or close association with Epstein, saying their friendship ended in the early 2000s, well before Epstein’s first arrest in 2006.
