Diddy survives knife attack in prison amid ongoing safety concerns

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is at the center of a disturbing incident inside MDC Brooklyn, where he is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence. According to close friend Charlucci Finney, Combs narrowly escaped a potentially fatal attack after waking up to find a knife pressed against his throat.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Finney described the moment as “terrifying,” though he was uncertain whether prison guards intervened or if Combs managed to fend off the attacker himself. The incident, confirmed by sources to TMZ, is being treated as a targeted act of intimidation.

Combs’ attorney, Brian Steel, referenced the attack during sentencing, stating that a guard intervened before any serious harm occurred. The rapper was convicted on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits transporting individuals across state lines for unlawful purposes. He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.

Finney emphasized the heightened risks for inmates with sex-related convictions, noting that Combs’ high profile makes him particularly vulnerable. Prison consultant Sam Mangel echoed those concerns, telling TMZ Live that while Combs is expected to be transferred to a less violent facility, the recent incident underscores the need for constant vigilance.

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl around reports that President Donald Trump is considering a pardon for Combs. While the White House Communications Office has denied the claims, TMZ maintains that its sources stand by the story.

As investigations into the attack continue, Combs’ inner circle remains deeply concerned for his safety, viewing the incident as a sobering reminder of the dangers that persist behind prison walls.
