Music mogul Don Jazzy has addressed a resurfaced story from his early days in the UK, clarifying details of an incident involving a car accident in London.

The tale recently went viral after former associate Bankulli recounted a dramatic version, claiming Don Jazzy crashed a car, removed the plate number, and ran before police arrived. Bankulli suggested the young artist was trying to survive in London and felt escaping was his only option.

Responding to the claims, Don Jazzy clarified that he did not run from the police. “I actually waited for the police,” he tweeted, explaining that officers administered a breathalyser test to check if he was intoxicated, which he wasn’t. The car was impounded, but the real issue, he said, was financial.

“The fine to collect the car back was more than the cheap car so I left it with them lol,” Don Jazzy added, putting the record straight and dispelling rumours that he had fled the scene.

The story had caused a stir online when some fans jokingly suggested the UK authorities could reopen the case if Don Jazzy visited the country.
