Kebbi School Abduction
Breaking: 24 Kebbi schoolgirls escape abduction after security sweep
In a major security breakthrough, 24 schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School, Maga in Kebbi State have regained their freedom following a coordinated rescue operation by Nigerian security forces. The dramatic rescue of schoolgirls comes just days after armed men stormed the school in the early hours of Monday, killing the vice principal and abducting 25 students.
Eyewitnesses described how the gunmen, riding motorcycles, overpowered the school’s security, prompting swift intervention by the Nigerian military, police, and local vigilante groups. One of the abducted girls had already escaped before the operation, while authorities continue to investigate the whereabouts of the remaining student.
