Drama as angry bride refuses to marry groom during church wedding [Video]
A mild confusion ensued during a church wedding after a bride refused to be married to her groom.
The lady and her husband-to-be had gotten to the wedding venue and were about to exchange vows when she had a change of heart.

In a video shared online, the couple were seen standing at the altar about to be married, but she had apparently refused to exchange vows.
The officiator was heard asking whether she wasn’t ready for the marriage, to which she responded in the affirmative, drawing gasps of astonishment from spectators.
At this point some of the attendees stood up and began making their way out since the wedding wasn’t going to hold.

Abuja-Lagos trip on CNG vehicle will cost N10,000, says presidential aide
Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, announced that traveling from Abuja to Lagos will only cost N10,000 when using a CNG vehicle
He shared this information in a post on his official X account on Thursday, October 10.
In response to the recent increase in petrol prices, he highlighted various benefits of CNG vehicles compared to those powered by traditional fuel.

Dada wrote: “- From Abuja-Lagos using CNG will cost you N10,000.
– A PMS tank has chances of exploding due to heat faster than a CNG tank ever will.
– Nigeria has more gas than crude oil.
– The business of CNG is moving faster than anticipated with stations coming up across every part of the country.
– CNG financing is getting better everyday with outlets like @futurewavecng allowing you to convert and payback overtime.

Just in: Gunmen abduct journalists travelling to Uyo for Super Eagles match
Gunmen have reportedly kidnapped some journalists travelling to cover an African Nations Cup qualifier in Akwa Ibom State.
The abducted pressmen were travelling to Uyo, the State capital, to cover the Super Eagles match against Libya on Friday.
The journalists, who were about 11 in number, were said to have been kidnapped on Wednesday.
According DAILY POST, they were travelling in a bus through Iseke, around the Ihiala area of Anambra when they were kidnapped.
A source privy to the incident that nine of the journalists have been rescued, while one is feared dead.

The source said on Thursday morning four of the victims are still being held in captivity.
The Police in Anambra have confirmed the incident.
The spokesperson of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said men of the Command have been deployed to rescue the journalists.
He said a joint operation was underway to rescue the victims.
“We intercepted the information as was being shared on various social media platforms yesterday, and we went to work immediately.
“As I speak to you, a joint operation is ongoing. We are however not sure if they are in captivity or were able to escape.”
Ikenga said he has no information on the rescue of any of the victims, but assured that operatives of the Command were working to free the abducted newsmen

Again, court restrain Emir Bayero from renovating mini palace
A Kano State High Court on Thursday, again restrained the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado-Bayero from renovating the Nassarawa Mini Palace.
The applicants in the matter are the Kano State Government, the Attorney-General of Kano and the Kano Emirate Council.
The applicants, through their counsel Rilwanu Umar (SAN), filed a motion exparte dated Sept.12. praying the court to restrain Ado-Bayero, from renovating Nasarawa mini palace situated along State Road Kano.
In her ruling on the interlocutory injunction, the presiding Judge and Chief Judge of Kano State, Justice Dije Abdu-Aboki, held that the applicant’s prayer was meritorious and granted.
“It is pertinent to note that the respondent filed no counter affidavit nor written address challenging the applicant”
Abdu-Aboki redirected the case to High Court 15, for further mention.

Earlier, Counsel to the applicants, told the court that the Bayero had been deposed by the law under the Kano State Emirate Council Repeal Law 2024.
“My lord the respondent was served on Sept.14, and did not file any counter affidavit nor written address and was not represented before the court”
The applicant in their prayer, asked the court to declare Gidan Nassarawa Mini Palace property of the Kano State Government and Emirate Council not property of the respondent.
NAN reports that the court had on Sept.13, granted an order of Interim Injunction restraining the defendant, his agents, privies, or anyone acting under the instruction in whatever manner from demolishing, renovating and repairing.
“Reconstructing and refurbishing the property known as Gidan Sarki Nasarawa situated along State Road, Kano pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice”
The court also directed parties in the suit to maintain the status quo with respect of the structural and architectural design of the palace pending the hearing and determination of the suit.
